There are three report formats available. The SHORT format includes bibliographic information, plus document type and language. The MEDIUM format adds subject headings both from the Lindesmith Center and the Library of Congress, if available. The LONG format adds ISBN and call numbers from both the Lindesmith Center and the Library of Congress, if available. The citations in the reports all sort by date in reverse chronological order.

Some hints regarding searching:

  • The AND buttons next to each searchable field can be switched to OR or NOT. Within a field such as SUBJECT, use & for "and" (e.g., cancer & palliative care), / for "or" (e.g., grief / bereavement), and ! for "not" (e.g., terminally ill ! cancer).
  • For truncation, use * (e.g., mourn* will pick up mourn, mourning, mourned, mourner, and mourners).
  • For date ranges, use : (a colon) for "through" (e.g., 1995:1998), < for "less than," > for "greater than," <= for "less than or equal to," >= for "greater than or equal to."
